A/Prof Buckland offers in person consultations for all initial consultations and most review consultations. Telehealth is offered selectively for review consultation or diagnostic imaging results.

Initial Consultation is $300 ($84.15 Medicare rebate).

Review Consultation is $200 ($42.30 Medicare rebate).

*Patients should note that their health funds do not contribute to consultation fees.

A/Prof Buckland does not see Work Cover or TAC patients, we would however be happy to see you as a private patient.

A/Prof Buckland charges an out-of-pocket for all surgical procedures and bases his fee on those recommended by the Australian Medical Association (AMA).

The out-of-pocket expense will depend on the procedure to be undertaken, your health fund and your level of cover.  Fees for surgery vary depending on the complexity of the surgery.

A/Prof Buckland does not participates in “no gap” or “known gap” health fund schemes. This scheme is largely based on Medicare rates, which have not been indexed with inflation now for around 30 years. As a result of the rising costs of practice, these fee schedules do not allow us to provide a practice focused on quality and safety.

Self-funded patients will be given a quote for the surgical, anaesthetic, hospital and implant costs prior to surgery.

Informed financial consent will be obtained from all patients prior to your procedure. Payment is required prior to surgery.
